Okay, I’m going to start off this post with a little disclaimer. Do not attempt this unless you have patience and time. It does take awhile, but in my opinion it is worth it.
Definitely worth it. Not to mention the fact that I absolutely love pomegranates.
What you see in the post below is half of what I bought. I only had the patience to go through two of the four pomegranates.
It is actually a pretty easy process, so let’s get into how to do it.
Start by taking your pomegranates
Then, fill up a big bowl with cold water. This is so you don’t stain your fingers. It works like a charm.
Using a sharp knife, cut each in half
Then submerge in the water
using a spoon, scoop out the insides.
And then here comes the tedious part.
Strain the water
and take every single seed out and put into a separate bowl.
There are a lot of seeds in each one… like seriously. A lot.
Good news is you don’t have to buy a bunch and seed all of them at once. Pomegranates last up to 3 months unseeded, so you can just open them as you need them.
They are so good though. As I said before, definitely worth the work!
Look in my next post for just WHY I’m seeding pomegranates. Follow my blog (sidebar) to be notified when I post it
